The Tribecca Collection was inspired by the Art Nouveau style that dominated the TriBeCa area of NYC at the time of it’s initial conversion from industrial to residential. The array of curves that combine the industrial and the artistic are enhanced by Kalco’s exclusive warm finishes. The hand-crafted glass shades are delicately folded and seem to hang precariously from organically shaped stems to generate pieces that are all at once vintage and modern.
From traditional to contemporary and every style in between, Kalco designs lighting fixtures that will complement any environment. Our design teams carefully design and craft each product, incorporating rich details. Unique materials and accents, such as crystal, stone, leather and shell, create the perfect finishing touch.
Our products begin as premium iron stock, which is heated in a fire pit and shaped with a hammer and anvil. Skilled artisans, whose craft has been honed by years of training, perform Kalco’s hand-forged wrought iron work. Artisans in our Las Vegas, Nevada factory hand paint our designed products, using many layering techniques to create the rich finishes that have become our hallmark. Our lighting designs are completely hand-crafted, making every piece an original work of art.
We pride ourselves on offering you a wide variety of design options. Rather than pre-selecting complementary finishes and shades for our designs, we provide you with the opportunity to personally select the finish and shade that will best complement your decor. Kalco’s exclusive natural shades bring amazing warmth and beauty to any room in your home. Our Buddha Leaf, Iridescent Shell and Penshell shades are hand-laid by skilled Philippine artisans, while Calcite shades come directly from a mine in Utah. Any of these shades, coupled with our hand-wrought and hand-painted fixtures, creates a luminescent work of art, as individual as nature itself.
Hand-crafted, high quality iron work has always been synonymous with Kalco Lighting. In addition to the rich, hand-forged designs offered in our catalog, we are able to create custom works of iron art to order, working with you from the early design stages through completion of the final product. Each custom designed piece takes time to create, time that will be well worth it once your beautifully detailed, personally finished work of art comes to life.
